RIEZ is in a central position at the crossroads of five roads. The D.952 leads to Moustier Sainte Marie, then on to the Verdon Canyon with a road on each bank. In the opposite direction, Aix en Provence, capital of Provence is an hour drive away and quite near to Marseille or to the airport of Marseille-Marignane. The D.953 is the road to the Alps and winter sports, with Grenoble at less than three hours drive. The D.6 takes you to Manosque in 30 minutes where you can join the motorway and then all over FRANCE and EUROPE. For sun and water lovers the D.16 goes to Sainte Croix du Verdon (11 kms), with its artificial lake, one of the biggest and most beautiful in Europe. Twenty kilometres from Riez (direction Marseille, the along the D.15), there is another very picturesque lake : Esparron de Verdon, offering the same activities as Sainte croix.  .
